PU Prime offers MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), PU Web Trader and the PU Prime App, and it currently provides demo-account access for testing its platforms. Those platform features should be assessed separately from regulation. For UK readers, the most important current fact is that the FCA warning for “PU prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited” remains in force and states that the firm is not authorised by the FCA and may be targeting people in the UK. This status was checked on 29 September 2026.

What is the PU Prime platform?

“PU Prime platform” does not refer to one single terminal. PU Prime is a broker brand that currently documents access through several interfaces: MT4, MT5, PU Web Trader and the PU Prime App. The broker account, legal entity, pricing and execution terms sit behind those interfaces, while the platform controls how the user views markets and submits orders.

Platform Access What it provides Important limitation
MetaTrader 4 (MT4) Desktop, mobile, web Established MetaTrader interface with charting, order entry and Expert Advisor support Platform availability does not establish the broker entity or live execution quality.
MetaTrader 5 (MT5) Desktop, mobile, web Newer MetaTrader interface with expanded charting/order functionality and EA support Product availability can vary by account and entity.
PU Web Trader Browser PU Prime-developed browser interface for quotes, charts, order placement and position management Browser usability is separate from live pricing and execution quality.
PU Prime App Mobile app Broker app for account access, trading and built-in demo functionality App access does not determine regulation or client protections.

PU Prime demo account: what you can test

PU Prime currently allows new users to create a demo account through the Client Portal without first opening a live account. Existing clients can create demos in the Client Portal, and the PU Prime App includes a built-in demo account. The current help material says users can choose items such as platform, account type, account currency, leverage and demo balance for Client Portal demos.

Area Demo account Live account Important limitation
Market environment Simulated practice environment Real market and broker execution conditions PU Prime says demo data may not fully reflect the live market.
Slippage May not reproduce abnormal-market slippage Can occur in live conditions A smooth demo fill is not evidence of live fill quality.
Dividend adjustments Broker says demo may not reflect them the same way Can affect relevant live products Instrument treatment must be checked in live-account documents.
Funding/withdrawals Not a test of money movement Subject to account/entity/payment rules Demo use cannot prove withdrawal speed or reliability.
Regulatory protection None implied by the demo interface Depends on contracting entity and jurisdiction Demo access is not evidence of FCA authorisation.

What a demo account cannot prove
A demo can show how the interface works, but it cannot validate live spreads, slippage, latency, withdrawal processing, liquidity or regulatory protections. PU Prime’s own help material explicitly says demo conditions may differ from real trading.

Is PU Prime available in the UK, and is it FCA-regulated?

The two questions are different. PU Prime’s current restricted-country help page does not list the United Kingdom among the named countries where registration is unavailable. That does not establish that a UK user is being served by an FCA-authorised entity. The FCA warning for “PU prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited” states that the firm is not authorised by the FCA and may be targeting people in the UK.

PU Prime’s regulation page lists entities regulated in jurisdictions including Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa and Australia. It also lists P.U.P. Integrated Services Limited, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, but describes that company as providing administrative payment-facilitation services and explicitly says it does not offer regulated financial products or trading services. A UK company registration is therefore not evidence of FCA-authorised brokerage services.

  1. Check the exact legal entity shown in the live-account agreement or onboarding flow.
  2. Search that exact entity in the FCA Firm Checker / Financial Services Register.
  3. Check the FCA Warning List for the brand, entity, domains and contact details.
  4. Do not assume FSCS or Financial Ombudsman Service coverage unless the actual service is provided by an appropriately authorised UK entity and the protection applies.
  5. Treat technical website access, marketing to UK users and FCA authorisation as separate facts.

PU Prime is a trading name used across several entities. Terms, leverage, complaints routes and client protections can differ by entity, so a review should not merge all regulatory claims into one global status.

Entity Jurisdiction / regulator Current description UK relevance
PU Prime Ltd Mauritius FSC, licence GB23202672 Investment dealer listed on PU Prime regulation page Not an FCA authorisation. Confirm whether this is the contracting entity before applying its terms to a UK user.
PU Prime Limited / Seychelles entity Seychelles FSA, licence SD050 Securities dealer listed by PU Prime FCA warning names PU prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited; check exact naming in the agreement.
PU Prime (Pty) Ltd South Africa FSCA, FSP 52218 Intermediary role described by PU Prime Not a UK regulatory status.
PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd Australia ASIC, licence 410681 Australian Financial Services Licensee for Australian clients Not a UK regulatory status.
P.U.P. Integrated Services Limited United Kingdom company registration PU Prime says it provides administrative payment-facilitation services and not regulated trading services UK incorporation does not equal FCA-authorised brokerage.

PU Prime fees and spreads

Current account information should be read as broker-published pricing, not as guaranteed realised cost. PU Prime’s Account Types page currently lists Standard, Prime, ECN and Cent accounts. The same page labels spreads as “from” values, while a Help Center comparison gives an average EUR/USD spread of 1.3 pips for Standard and 0.0 pips for Prime. These are different source labels and should not be silently treated as the same metric.

Account Published spread basis Commission Published minimum deposit Key qualification
Standard From 1.3 pips; Help Center says average EUR/USD 1.3 pips $0 forex commission $50 on Account Types page Help Center separately says account minimum 0, but at least $50 is required to place trades.
Prime From 0.0 pips; Help Center says average EUR/USD 0.0 pips $3.50 per side per lot ($7 round turn) $1,000 Actual spread can move; commission must be included in all-in cost.
ECN From 0.0 pips $1 per side per lot ($2 round turn) $10,000 Availability and exact entity/account terms should be verified before use.
Cent From 1.3 pips No separate commission listed $20 equivalent / 2,000 USC Cent accounting uses USC and is not directly comparable with standard-lot examples without conversion.

Worked example: headline spread vs all-in trading cost

Illustrative scenario using broker-published Standard and Prime EUR/USD figures checked on 29 September 2026. Assume a one-standard-lot EUR/USD position and an illustrative pip value of USD 10. This is a cost example, not a performance estimate.

  • Standard: 1.3-pip average spread × USD 10 per pip ≈ USD 13 direct spread cost.
  • Prime: 0.0-pip average spread + USD 7 round-turn commission ≈ USD 7 direct cost before slippage.
  • If the live Prime spread were 0.2 pips instead of 0.0, the same simplified direct cost would be about USD 9 (USD 2 spread + USD 7 commission).

The example shows why a low headline spread is not the entire trading cost. Actual spreads are variable, and slippage, financing, conversion charges and account-specific terms can change the realised result.

Minimum deposit and account types

PU Prime’s official pages currently use two different formulations for the Standard account. The Account Types page lists a USD 50 minimum deposit, while the Help Center says the Standard / Islamic Standard minimum is 0 but that at least USD 50 is required to place trades. The practical interpretation is that account creation and the funding threshold needed to unlock trading are being described differently. The distinction should be preserved rather than collapsed into one unexplained number.

The Help Center currently lists Prime at 1,000 in the account currency, ECN at 10,000 in the account currency and Cent at 2,000 USC (USD 20 equivalent), subject to currency-specific rules. These figures can change and should be rechecked at publication.

Leverage and margin rules

PU Prime’s Account Types page currently advertises leverage up to 1:1000 for the listed accounts. That is a broker-published maximum, not a universal ratio for every product, position size, entity or market condition. UK readers should not confuse offshore headline leverage with FCA retail-CFD limits. Higher leverage can magnify losses as well as gains and can accelerate margin pressure.

Where leverage is important to a decision, check the contracting entity, product, current leverage schedule and any dynamic or event-based reductions before funding the account.

Deposits and withdrawals: what to check

Funding rules are method-specific. PU Prime’s current Help Center says the general minimum withdrawal is 40 in the account currency. For International Bank Transfer (IBT), it lists a minimum of 50 for the first withdrawal of the month and 70 for subsequent IBT withdrawals in that month. The first monthly IBT is eligible for a 20-unit account-currency handling-fee waiver, while subsequent IBT withdrawals may incur a 20-unit fee. Other payment channels may impose their own charges.

Check Current published rule What to verify before withdrawal
General minimum withdrawal 40 in account currency Method, account currency and any on-screen fee disclosure.
First IBT withdrawal in month Minimum 50; 20-unit handling fee waived/reimbursed Whether the selected account currency and bank route qualify.
Second/subsequent IBT in month Minimum 70; 20-unit handling fee applies Exact fee shown during submission and any bank-side charges.
Other methods Broker says certain channels may have additional charges Payment-provider fees, regional rules and current processing terms.

Execution, slippage and platform experience

Platform usability and execution quality are separate. A responsive MT4, MT5, Web Trader or app interface does not by itself demonstrate the price at which a live order will fill. PU Prime’s own demo disclosure notes that demo data may not fully reflect live conditions and may not reproduce abnormal-market slippage. Live spreads can also change with market conditions.

Claims such as “fast execution” or “institutional liquidity” should be treated as broker claims unless the broker provides a clear measurement method and current supporting data. Both positive and negative slippage are possible, and a quoted spread does not guarantee an execution price.

What should a UK reader verify first?

  1. Platform: confirm whether the preferred interface is MT4, MT5, PU Web Trader or the PU Prime App and whether the required account supports it.
  2. Demo: use the demo to test workflow, not to infer live spreads, fills or withdrawal performance.
  3. Regulation: check the exact contracting entity and the current FCA Register/Firm Checker and Warning List.
  4. Costs: compare actual spread methodology, commission, financing and currency-conversion costs on the same account and instrument basis.
  5. Deposit threshold: distinguish account-opening language from the amount required before trading is enabled.
  6. Leverage: verify the product- and entity-specific leverage schedule rather than relying on the headline maximum.
  7. Funding: verify minimums, withdrawal method, bank/payment-provider charges and current processing terms.
  8. Freshness: recheck all of the above immediately before opening or funding an account because account terms and regulatory status can change.

Frequently asked questions

Is PU Prime available to UK traders?

PU Prime’s current restricted-country page does not name the UK among the listed registration bans, but that does not establish FCA-authorised availability. A UK user should confirm the actual contracting entity in onboarding and separately check the current FCA warning and register status.

Is PU Prime regulated by the FCA?

The FCA warning checked on 29 September 2026 states that “PU prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited” is not authorised by the FCA and may be targeting people in the UK. PU Prime’s own regulation page lists regulated entities in other jurisdictions and a UK-incorporated administrative company, not an FCA-authorised PU Prime trading entity.

Can I open a PU Prime demo account without a live account?

PU Prime’s current Help Center says a new user can create a demo directly from the registration page without opening a live account first. Demo accounts can also be created through the Client Portal, while the PU Prime App includes a built-in demo account.

Does the PU Prime demo account behave like a live account?

No. PU Prime states that demo data may not fully reflect actual market conditions and that abnormal-market slippage and some adjustments may differ. A demo is useful for learning the interface, not for proving live execution or funding performance.

What is PU Prime’s minimum deposit?

PU Prime’s Account Types page lists USD 50 for Standard, USD 1,000 for Prime, USD 10,000 for ECN and USD 20 equivalent for Cent. Its Help Center separately says the Standard minimum is 0 but at least USD 50 is required to place trades, so the account-opening threshold and trading-unlock threshold should be distinguished.

Does PU Prime charge withdrawal fees?

Fees depend on the method. PU Prime currently says the first International Bank Transfer withdrawal each month is eligible for a 20-unit account-currency fee waiver, while subsequent IBT withdrawals may incur that fee. Other channels can have different charges, so the current withdrawal screen and Help Center should be checked.
