Funded Trading Plus Review 2026: Is It Worth It for UK Traders?

Funded Trading Plus has been paying traders from London since 2021, pays from day one on its 1-Step, and prices everything with VAT included. It also runs the strictest consistency maths in this cluster and has changed hands, and its Trustpilot score is currently suspended. We read every program article, priced every size, and worked out exactly how big one day or one pair is allowed to be. Independent, no affiliate deal.

Funded Trading Plus review: quick verdict

7.1out of 10

Funded Trading Plus is a London firm with a five-year payout record, a 1-Step that pays from day one, and a 2-Step that asks you to be boringly consistent. A $100,000 1-Step Express listed at $549 including VAT on 21 October 2026, with a 10 percent target, a 4 percent daily limit, a 6 percent trailing maximum loss and no time limit; pass it and you can request your first reward the same day you are in profit, then every seven days. The 2-Step Classic at the same price gives you a static 8 percent floor, 1:50 leverage and 7 percent targets, and a new $4 Activation Account lets you sit a 2 percent one-phase test before paying the balance.

The catches are specific. The 2-Step Classic carries a 35 percent consistency rule in both steps, 50 percent when funded, and a 3 percent per-symbol loss limit that is a hard breach; the 1-Step's trailing floor moves with your wins; the fee is never refunded; Instant accounts must be flat by Friday afternoon. And the firm's story has a new chapter: it has changed ownership, recent reviews complain about slower support and payouts since, and Trustpilot has suspended its score while it reviews the profile, even though 90 percent of the 2,673 reviews on file are five-star. A well-documented, UK-based firm for methodical traders, with a question mark over what the new owners do next.

The rules

Funded Trading Plus challenge rules explained

Four programs, none with a time limit, all swap-free, and one shared activity rule: open and close at least one trade every 30 days or the account is hard-breached. The daily loss is measured from the previous day's closed balance and resets at 23:59 server time. Figures from the firm's program articles and the live configurator.

Profit target

The Express asks 10 percent once; the Classic asks 7 percent twice. Both targets are net profit from closed positions only.

4%

Daily drawdown rule

Of the prior day's closed balance on Express and Classic, 6 percent on Instant. Breached on equity or closed balance, either counts.

6% / 8%

Maximum loss rule

Express trails 6 percent behind your balance high until it reaches the starting balance, then stops. Classic is a fixed 8 percent below the start.

3% per symbol

Symbol loss limit

Classic only: one instrument may not lose more than 3 percent of the account in equity, all trades on it counted together. A hard breach in every phase.

News trading is "allowed, subject to policy" on every program. Weekend holding is allowed on Express, Classic and Activation Accounts but not on Instant, where the system closes everything at 4:30pm EST on Friday. There is no stop-loss requirement. Leverage is 1:30 on forex for Express and Instant and 1:50 on Classic, with gold, silver and indices at 1:20, oil at 1:5, crypto at 1:2. Resets are sold at a 20 percent discount.

Drawdown examples and the consistency gauge

The gauge: how big one day, and one pair, is allowed to be

Most firms limit how much you can lose. Funded Trading Plus's 2-Step Classic also limits how much you can make in a day relative to the rest, and how much one instrument can cost you. Here is the arithmetic on a $100,000 Classic account, then the choice between the two evaluations.

$100,000 2-Step Classic
Step target (7%)$7,000
Biggest single day allowed in a step (35%)$2,450
Daily loss limit (4%)$4,000
Maximum loss, static (8%)$8,000
Symbol loss limit, any one pair (3%)$3,000
Funded: biggest day as share of payout-period profit50%
Funded: minimum withdrawal (1%)$1,000
Your share of a $7,000 payout at 80%$5,600

How to read the ledger

The second row is the one that surprises people. Hit $7,000 with a $2,800 day and you have not passed; you keep trading until the total is at least $8,000 so that $2,800 is 35 percent of it. Losing days do not shrink your best day, so a fast start followed by chop is the classic way to get stuck. Once funded the bar is 50 percent per payout period, and it resets after each payout, which the firm's own example shows can make your next payout eligible after a single small trade.

The symbol loss limit is the other trap: three EURUSD positions are one symbol, and $3,000 of open loss on that symbol ends the account, even though the daily limit is $4,000 and the floor is $8,000 away. Plan sizes with our position size calculator, test the trailing Express floor in the drawdown calculator, and run the 35 and 50 percent maths in our consistency calculator before you buy the Classic.

Pricing

Funded Trading Plus fees and account sizes

List prices in US dollars, VAT included, read from the configurator on 21 October 2026. A 30 percent code (FUNDED30) was running; the firm runs codes constantly, so treat list as the ceiling.

What the fee buys, and does not

A simulated evaluation with no time limit and, on passing, a "simulated live" account that pays real-world USD rewards. Fees are not refunded. Add-ons on Express and Instant: scaling plan to $5M, 90 percent split, and rewards every 3 days, each plus 15 percent; on Classic: a 9 percent maximum loss (plus 20 percent) and an 85 percent split (plus 15 percent). The Activation Account is the outlier: $4 to start a 2 percent one-phase test, then $179, $299 or $489 for the $25k, $50k or $100k funded account only if you pass.

Paying and getting paid from the UK

Prices are shown with VAT included, which is unusual and saves UK buyers an unpleasant surprise at checkout. Rewards are paid in US dollars; the minimum on Express and Instant is $50, on Classic 1 percent of the initial balance. The firm states that it holds "liquid fiat capital reserves far in excess" of what would be needed if every funded trader withdrew at once.

UK trader notes

Can UK traders use Funded Trading Plus?

Yes, and it is a London firm. Funded Trading Plus has operated from London since 2021, lists a Bell Yard address on its Trustpilot profile, shows prices with UK VAT included, and its prohibited list covers Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Iran, Myanmar, the occupied regions of Ukraine, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia and Belarus, not the United Kingdom.

A London address is a convenience, not a regulatory status. The firm's own disclaimer says all trading "takes place in a simulated environment using virtual funds" and that its capital "is generated from the fees we charge". The FCA's retail CFD protections (PS19/18) therefore do not apply, the firm is not on the FCA Register for any regulated activity, and a payout dispute is a contract matter under English law rather than one for the Financial Ombudsman. Given the change of ownership, check the current Companies House filing before relying on who you are contracting with. Read the FCA's note on high-risk investments, and treat rewards as self-employed income for HMRC until an accountant says otherwise.

Compare

Funded Trading Plus vs other prop firms

Funded Trading Plus wins on payout speed from the 1-Step and on VAT-inclusive pricing; it loses on fee refund and on the weight of the Classic's consistency maths. Same-size two-step products compared.

Best for

Who is Funded Trading Plus best for?

Methodical UK forex traders whose profits arrive in small, similar pieces and who want to be paid quickly by a company in their own city.

  • Traders who want a reward the day they are in profit (1-Step Express)
  • Multi-pair swing traders with naturally even daily P&L (2-Step Classic)
  • UK buyers who want VAT-inclusive pricing with no checkout surprise
  • Anyone who wants to try a firm for $4 before committing (Activation Account)
Not for you if

Who should avoid Funded Trading Plus?

Avoid the Classic if your edge shows up in a few big days; the 35 percent rule will keep you in the evaluation long after you have hit the target. Avoid it if you concentrate risk in one pair, because the 3 percent symbol limit is a hard breach. Avoid Instant if you hold over weekends. And if a firm's ownership change and a suspended Trustpilot score matter to you, wait for both to settle before sending a large fee.

Challenge difficulty rating

How hard is the Funded Trading Plus challenge?

Moderate

Reaching the target

10 percent once or 7 percent twice with no time limit. Standard, with a static floor on the Classic.

Strict on Classic

Staying inside the rules

The 35 percent consistency rule and the 3 percent symbol limit are where Classic accounts stall or die. Express is far simpler.

Easy on Express

Getting paid

Day 0 and weekly on Express. Day 10, every 10 days and a 50 percent rule on Classic. Recent reviews report slower processing than before.

Signals fit

Using The Forex Complex signals on a Funded Trading Plus account

Our free Telegram signals give you an entry, a stop loss and staged targets with the reasoning. On the 1-Step Express that is all you need. On the 2-Step Classic the stop loss also has to respect the symbol limit, and the calendar has to respect the consistency rule.

  • One signal, one symbol, under 3 percent: if a signal suggests scaling in, keep the combined risk on that pair under $3,000 on a $100k Classic account. Three entries on the same pair are one symbol to the rule.
  • Spread your days: in a 7 percent step, no day may be over $2,450 of a $7,000 total. Take partials at staged targets across sessions rather than closing everything on one good day.
  • Bank early on Express: the trailing floor locks at the starting balance once it has caught up; staged targets get you there sooner.
  • Trade every month: one closed trade per 30 days keeps the account alive. A signal plan makes that automatic.

What our trading team thinks of Funded Trading Plus

Wesley, Founder and CEO of The Forex Complex

"FT+ was one of the first firms I saw put the VAT in the price and pay people on day one, and I still respect that. The Classic is a good product for a very particular trader: someone whose equity curve looks like a staircase, not a lift. If yours has big days, buy the Express and stop reading. What I am watching now is the acquisition. New owners, slower support in the reviews, Trustpilot on pause. None of that changes the rules, but it changes who is on the other end of the contract, and I would want to see a few months of clean payouts before sending them a big fee."

How we review

How we score prop firms

The methodology

Every firm is scored out of 10 on nine criteria: forex trader suitability, challenge fairness, cost transparency, payout reliability, rule clarity, platform support, UK accessibility, risk management fit and support quality. The overall score is the average. We read the firm's own program articles, terms and disclaimers, price the live configurator, review the Trustpilot profile and its complaint themes, and re-verify on the date shown at the top. Where a firm's site blocks automated checks, as Funded Trading Plus's does, we read it in a browser and note the dates on the articles we relied on. We hold no affiliate or referral relationship with Funded Trading Plus or any firm reviewed here.

FAQs

Funded Trading Plus FAQs

Is Funded Trading Plus legit?

Funded Trading Plus is a real firm that has operated from London since 2021, reports $19.5 million in trader rewards across 211,000 accounts and 180 countries, and publishes its rules in a dated help centre. Its accounts are simulated and it is not FCA-regulated. At the time of our check Trustpilot had suspended the firm's TrustScore; the 2,673 reviews on file were 90 percent five-star and 3 percent one-star, with recent complaints about slower support and payouts since the firm changed hands.

Who owns Funded Trading Plus?

Funded Trading Plus, or FT+, was founded in London in 2021 and lists an address at 7 Bell Yard, London, on its Trustpilot profile. Third-party listings and recent reviews describe it as having been acquired by Instant Funding, another prop firm, and several one-star reviews attribute slower service to that change. The firm's website does not name its current parent or directors, so check Companies House for the current filing before relying on the ownership.

What are the Funded Trading Plus challenge rules?

1-Step Express: 10 percent target, 4 percent daily loss on the prior day's closed balance, 6 percent relative trailing maximum loss that stops trailing at the initial balance, no time limit, 1:30 leverage. 2-Step Classic: 7 percent target in each step, 4 percent daily, 8 percent static maximum loss, a 35 percent consistency rule in both steps and 50 percent when funded, a 3 percent per-symbol loss limit, 1:50 leverage. Instant: 6 percent daily, 6 percent trailing, no weekend holding. All accounts breach after 30 days without a trade.

What is the Funded Trading Plus consistency rule?

On the 2-Step Classic, no single trading day's net profit may be more than 35 percent of the total net profit in that step, and no more than 50 percent of the profit in the current payout period once funded. On a $100,000 account with a $7,000 step target, the biggest day allowed is $2,450. If one day is bigger, you keep trading until the total grows enough to bring it under the limit. After each payout the score resets. The 1-Step Express and Instant programs have no consistency rule.

How do Funded Trading Plus payouts work?

1-Step Express and Instant: request a withdrawal as soon as you are in profit, from day one, minimum $50, then every 7 days, or every 3 days with an add-on. 2-Step Classic: first request 10 calendar days after the funded account is created, then every 10 days, minimum 1 percent of the initial balance, and the 50 percent consistency rule must be met. The standard split is 80 percent, with add-ons to 85 or 90 percent and the firm advertises up to 100 percent as your balance grows. Payouts are in US dollars.

How much does a Funded Trading Plus challenge cost?

List prices including VAT on 21 October 2026: 1-Step Express $99 for $10,000, $199 for $25,000, $349 for $50,000, $549 for $100,000 and $999 for $200,000. 2-Step Classic $89, $169, $319 and $549 for $10,000 to $100,000. Instant Funding from $429 for $10,000 to $4,499 for $100,000. The new Activation Account costs $4 up front, then $179, $299 or $489 when you pass a 2 percent one-phase target. A 30 percent code was running at the time. Fees are not refunded.

What is the Funded Trading Plus symbol loss limit?

On the 2-Step Classic, no single instrument may lose more than 3 percent of the account in simulated equity, measured against the balance at 16:59 EST the previous day. Several open trades on the same pair count as one. It is a hard breach in every phase, including the funded stage, so on a $100,000 account $3,000 of open loss on EURUSD alone ends the account even though the daily limit is $4,000.

Does Funded Trading Plus have a time limit?

No. None of the programs has a maximum number of days to pass. The only timing rule is activity: you must open and close at least one trade in every 30-day period on every evaluation and funded account, or the account is hard-breached. The firm emails a warning seven days before the deadline.

Is Funded Trading Plus available in the UK?

Yes. Funded Trading Plus is based in London and its restricted list covers Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Iran, Myanmar, the occupied regions of Ukraine, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia and Belarus, not the UK. Prices include VAT. Accounts are simulated and the firm is not FCA-authorised, so no UK regulatory protection applies; a dispute is a contract matter with an English company.

What platforms does Funded Trading Plus offer?

MetaTrader 5 and Match-Trader were offered at checkout when we checked; the help centre also documents DXtrade and cTrader. Leverage is 1:30 on forex for the Express and Instant programs and 1:50 on the 2-Step Classic, with gold, silver and indices at 1:20, oil at 1:5 and crypto at 1:2. All programs are swap-free.

Can The Forex Complex signals be used for Funded Trading Plus challenges?

As one input, yes. Every Forex Complex signal carries a stop loss, so you can size inside the 4 percent daily limit and, on the 2-Step Classic, keep each pair under the 3 percent symbol loss limit. The consistency rule is the constraint to plan around: spread entries across days so that no single day exceeds 35 percent of the step's profit. Weekend holding is fine on Express and Classic but not on Instant. No signal service can guarantee you will pass or be paid.

Risk disclaimer: Prop firm evaluations involve a non-refundable fee and trading on simulated accounts. Trading forex and CFDs carries a high level of risk, and most retail traders lose money. Nothing on this page is financial, investment or tax advice, and no signal service, including ours, can guarantee that you will pass an evaluation or receive a payout. Funded Trading Plus changes its programs, rules and prices and its website blocks automated checks; rules here were verified against the firm's own help-centre articles (last updated by the firm between March and July 2026) and prices were read from the configurator on 21 October 2026. The Trustpilot status described was accurate on that date and may have changed. The firm's own pages take precedence. The Forex Complex has no affiliate or referral relationship with Funded Trading Plus.
